What is Reflexology?

It is an ancient Egyptian therapy used to Help ‘retune’ the whole body. Pressure is applied to points on the feet which relate to different parts of the body. This helps clear any energy blockages and stimulates the normal function of the organ, therefore allowing the body to self heal.

It can help with stress, menstrual problems, high blood pressure, digestive problems, headaches and much much more.

How is Reflexology performed?

Reflexology can be performed on either the feet or the hands. This is done by using specific techniques to stimulate the corresponding body part. A slight but firm pressure is applied to the feet or hands to allow the treatment to be revitalising and relaxing, rather than ticklish.

Therapists can normally detect areas in the body where the natural energy flow has been disrupted. These imbalances can be treated by reflexology to restore the original flow.

Treatments

Treatments start with a warm up routine of approximately ten minutes to relax the client.

The first treatment will take about half an hour and it is recommended that up to five or more may be needed to balance the body completely, clearing energy blockages. The treatments that follow may be hourly or half hourly and spaced about a week apart. Thereafter, the treatments can be spaced further apart to keep the body clear of energy blockages, thus balancing the body.

Who would benefit from a Reflexology Session?

Almost anyone will benefit from a reflexology session, from babies, children, teenagers, adults and the more mature person. Whether it is just for stress relief, relaxation, headaches, tiredness or for the other problems.
